The at times fractious relationship between online poker room Poker Host and the Equity Poker Network has come to a rather abrupt end.
In a media statement Wednesday the network confirmed the end of the relationship at midnight on December 9, advising that Poker Host has found a new home and emphasizing that the two parties has reached a mutual agreement to part ways.
Equity says it will work closely with Poker Host to ensure that the transition of the operator’s player base is effected in the most efficient manner possible.
“We thank PokerHost for their contribution during their time at EPN, and we wish them, as well as their players, continued success for the future,” said an EPN spokesperson.
It is understood that Poker Host, which has been with EPN for under a year, is headed for the Winning Poker Network in its third change of networks; the operator has in the past been part of the Cake Poker Network and the Merge Poker Network.
Reports on internet poker media sites earlier this year suggested that the relationship between Poker Host and EPN had deteriorated over the network’s action in banning “winning” player accounts in its efforts to establish a more recreational-friendly playing environment (see previous reports).
