The Pokerfest Championship Edition, a 15-day online poker series at Party Poker kicks off this Sunday (October 19) and will present three levels of buy-ins for each of its 76 events, backed by a guaranteed $2 million prize pool.
The company is already running satellite events online with buy-ins as low as a dollar.
In a change to previous editions of the online series, Party Poker has amped up the leaderboards with a wider range of buy-ins. For the player, that means 76 chances to win cash prizes with a buy-in that best suits individual bankrolls.
There are high ($100 and up), medium ($10 to $15) and low ($1 to 5) buy-in levels. Each level will have its own leaderboard.
This Sunday there are a total of nine Pokerfest Championship events. Highlights include event 6, a $200 buy-in $250,000 guaranteed NLH Freezeout fed by a value $5 entry mega satellite that guarantees 50 seats into the event.
Also standing out on the schedule is event 9, a $500 buy-in $150,000 guaranteed NLH High Roller Freezeout with a $50 buy-in, 25 seats guaranteed mega satellite. at 13.45 ET.
And event 8 – a $75,000 guaranteed NLH Freezeout – is likely to be a popular competition.
“This Sunday there is over $500,000 guaranteed alone and that’s just on day one of the Pokerfest Championship Edition, said Party Poker spokesman Mike Sexton.
“This time around we’re running no fewer than four events that have six-figure prize pools. You can make your money go further through the mega satellites which pay out a minimum of 275 seats to 7 of the biggest Pokerfest tournaments, added to the three leaderboards plus special Pokerfest Championship Missions.”
The big main attraction of Pokerfest Championship edition is event 72, a $200 buy-in $300,000 guaranteed NLH event on Sunday 2 November.
