PokerStars has widened accessibility to its beta test version of the new Pokerstars 7 software, announcing its availability for the public to try out on .com, .es and .eu clients as the next evolutionary step in its introduction.
Pokerstars spokesman, Lee Jones, said Thursday that PokerStars 7 is the next major client update for the Isle of Man-based online poker giant.
“The new beta software has a more refined look and feel compared to the previous client, a number of added features, and helps both new and existing players start playing poker faster. At this stage, the beta PokerStars 7 client is only available for Windows PCs,” he said.
“Over the last few years, we have invested countless hours to research, design and develop this new iteration of our flagship software. We believe this release is friendlier for new players and more intuitive and powerful for our veterans.
“Now we’re inviting our players to test the beta version of the software and help us ensure that it meets the high standards that everyone expects of PokerStars.”
The latest expansion of the test program follows extensive testing through poker forums, which commenced in May this year (see previous report).
The current beta phase is expected to continue for at least another month, depending on player take-up, whilst Mac players will probably have to wait until October to give the new software a test drive.
Pokerstars has provided a video showcasing the main features of the new software, which can be accessed here:
