This year’s Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is just around the corner, commencing on April 30 with PokerStars’ biggest ever-online series guarantee of $55 million.
SCOOP has teamed up with PokerStars Makes Millionaires to guarantee that two players will walk away from the series as millionaires.
The first week of the series (April 30 – May 6) is dedicated to Event 01, the Phase Event. On these days, players will have the opportunity to earn their entry into 01-H Phase 2, which guarantees $1 million for the winner. The other event with a $1 million first-place prize that all players should be aiming for is the Main Event 55-H on May 21.
The 57 events that comprise SCOOP 2017 offer a wide variety of different tournament formats at separate buy-in levels to ensure that players of all bankrolls have an opportunity to play. Each event has Low, Medium and High versions, meaning the full range of buy-ins for SCOOP 2017 goes from $5.50 all the way up to $25,000.
The three Main Events between them offer guaranteed prize money of at least $9.5 million, with the High version awarding at least $1 million for first place.
Satellites are available, awarding SCOOP tickets for a fraction of the buy-in, and for this year’s series Pokerstars is introducing On-Demand satellites. These start when the minimum number of players have registered, just like a Sit & Go, but also feature a period of late registration, like a scheduled tournament.
