The Swedish online poker ace Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom enjoyed one of his huge upswings over the weekend, adding a further $1.6 million to his bank account after a relative quiet (for him) spell in recent weeks.
The High Stakes Data Base reports that the PLO, 8-Game and 2-7 games at Full Tilt Poker were more than favourable for the young Swede, enabling him to take $450,000 off red-hot online players like ragen70, Gus Hansen and Kagome Kagome, following that with a $211,000 coup on FakeSky playing the 8-game tables.
Blom was back at the virtual felt again Sunday, confronting Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond on the $300/$600 PLO tables and harvesting a further million dollars after some spectacularly audacious high-stakes poker.
Other big weekend winners included Gus “The Great Dane” Hansen, who made a $450,000 dent in his reportedly $16 million of red ink entries.
