Online poker operator Pokerstars has released the schedule for a second World Championship of Online Poker Challenge with a guaranteed prize pool of $9 million, which will take place at the end of this (March) month.
The World Championship of Online Poker spin-off series is scheduled for the weekend of March 28-30 and consists of nine tournaments.
The final day of the series will see more than $5 million in prize money awarded to players, with a $2,100 buy-in Main Event at 15.30 ET and a $215 buy-in Sunday Million Special Edition at 14.30 ET. Both tournaments feature guaranteed prize pools of $2 million.
In addition to the significant cash prizes that will be generated, each event champion will receive a ticket to the 2014 World Championship of Online Poker Main Event.
The first WCOOP Challenge took place last December and awarded $11,659,825 in prizes to players across eight events, with a total of 32,869 tournament entries. The Main Event was won by an online player from Singapore, who scooped a first prize of more than $500,000.
