The Euro 10,000 buy-in Euro 25,000 buy-in European Poker Tour High Roller event in Barcelona concluded in sensational fashion with a three-way chop over the weekend, with Italian pro Mustapha Kanit (24) taking the main honours in the 506-entry competition.
When Swedish pro Niklas Astedt was sent home in fourth place for Euro 336,700, the three remaining survivors, Kanit, UK player Kully Sidhu, and Nick Petrangelo went into a huddle to work out a three-way chop.
Emerging, they announced that as chip leader Kanit would take the win and Euro 738,759, leaving Sidhu with Euro 640,000 and Petrangelo with Euro 592,840…and call it a day at that.
The victory brings Kanit’s total in online and live tournament earnings to around $5 million.

Ami Barer of Canada, Euro 206,600
Gerald Karlic from Austria Euro155,600
