A long list of celebrities turned out for the Tiger Woods Poker Night charity event at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas this week, including the international golf star himself, Kunal Nayyar, who plays Raj on The Big Bang Theory TV show; Dallas Mavericks owner and star of ABC’s Shark Tank Mark Cuban; The Bachelor host Chris Harrison; the WPT’s Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten; and poker aces Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu and Antonio Esfandiari.
Phil Hellmuth was master of ceremonies at the event, which attracted 50 entries who anted up $10,000 apiece for the buy-in.
Kinesh Pather, a South African amateur player who finished the recent $100,000 buy-in Alpha8 Johannesburg competition earlier this year as runner up to Daniel “Jungleman” Cates, again displayed an impressive poker talent by winning the event and donating his prize to the Tiger Woods Foundation.
The great golfer was in attendance and played in the event, although he did not make the final table.
Tiger Poker Night was a part of Tiger Jam, which started in 1998 and has raised more than $14 million for the Tiger Woods Foundation.
