A promising South American partnership between online poker operator Pokerloco and the MojaveSports agency in Brazil has been signed.
MojaveSports was founded by one of Brazil’s top poker pros, Felipe Ramos, who said this week that the game has grown in popularity and is regarded as a sport in Brazil, recognised by the International Mind Games Association.
Pokerloco head of poker, Manuel Lopez, said his company admires and respects the work Ramos has done in improving perceptions of the game, both as a player and an ambassador for poker internationally.
“The work developed by MojaveSports is helping to take the sport of poker to new heights in Brazil and he has been a major contributor to the poker boom in the region,” said Lopez. “This is a great opportunity for our players in the region to benefit from new promotions, tournaments and high entertainment value.
“PokerLoco holds a database of over 370 000 Brazilian players and our aim is to continue strengthen our strong position in the region through this partnership.“
Ramos said that a group of outstanding players was currently being put together to represent the partnership.
