European Poker Tour and Big Game fans will be more than familiar with the incisive commentaries of Joe Stapleton, who has just signed up with the televised Poker Night in America series
“I’m thrilled to be back doing poker on TV in the States,” Stapleton said in a statement announcing his appointment this week. “Especially on a show like Poker Night in America. The team there really seems to understand how important it is to focus on the fun, social aspects of the game.”
Rush Street Productions, parent company to Poker Night in America, announced in the statement that Stapleton will be the show’s co-commentator alongside Chris Hansen when new episodes are released on CBS Sports Network starting the first week of April.
Rush Street Productions president Todd Anderson said: “We are constantly looking at ways to evolve as a television show and ratchet up the production. Since day one, we’ve been trying to produce a unique poker TV experience and adding Joe is another step in that direction.”
Respected poker pro Matt Glantz was appointed to the show just a few weeks ago in an organising capacity.
