Top international and British poker professional Sam Trickett has signed up as international brand ambassador for online gambling group Betclic Everest and will work with the Everest Poker team in London, from where he will attend Live events and take part in video updates and blogging efforts covering the world of poker.
Despite his youth, Trickett is well qualified for the job, having achieved almost $20 million in career earnings and the respect of both online and live tournament poker professionals around the globe.
“I’m looking forward to interacting with our players online and at Everest Poker Live events, where I’ll be playing and coaching,” Trickett said Monday. “Everest is a great poker brand and I will be doing everything I can to make it one of the most recognised in the world.”
The young Brit has a busy year ahead of him that will include playing in up to 30 bracelet events, competing in the $1 Million Big One for One Drop, and of course World Series of Poker events.
This time around Trickett hopes to win the Big Drop, having finished runner-up in 2012 for a cool $10,112,001.
Des Duffy, a director at Everest Poker, said: “We want to encourage players to get behind Sam’s quest for a first bracelet this summer. With his consistent record of cashing at high profile tournaments there could be a huge amount of value on the table.”
Duffy said that in addition, his company will capture the atmosphere of Las Vegas through a series of video blogs that Trickett will be recording during the WSOP.”
