The successful Unibet – Relax Gaming collaboration which saw the launch of the former’s stand-alone online poker platform over two years ago, is following up the popular offering with Unibet Poker 2.0.
The launch date is set for December 1 for the product, which was previewed during the Unibet Open Copenhagen earlier this year (see previous report) before going into beta testing.
Reports indicate that the new platform is largely HTML5 powered, which the company is confident will make for smoother operations and obviate the crashes which have occasionally plagued the original version, especially following the introduction of new features. The new software will also more easily allow for the inclusion of new features.
The new Unibet Poker will be available across desktop, tablet and mobile device channels, and reportedly offers significantly better graphics, improved hand history replays, a revamped hand history re-player, a loyalty system with missions fully integrated in the client, and multi-tabling capability even on handheld devices.
Unibet head of poker Andrew West said in a company statement:
“Unibet Poker 2.0 was built from the ground up and designed to provide us with a foundation upon which we can seamlessly add in-game features to continuously provide the best experience possible for all of our players.”
West says that Unibet Poker has enjoyed outstanding growth, up 65 percent year-on-year in Q3-2016 alone, and that the new software will enable the company to maintain this momentum in the future.
