The Winning Poker Network (flagships Americas Cardroom, Black Chip Poker and True Poker) did a little boasting in a press release Tuesday, claiming in a press release that it has outperformed well established and popular rivals like iPoker, PartyPoker and MPN to enter the Top 5 network leaderboard, with a dominant position in the tricky US market.
“We’re thrilled to make our way into the top 5 global poker sites, but we’ve got our eyes set on #1,” said a buoyant Winning Poker Network spokesperson Michael Harris. “As we head into 2017, we’re going to put some serious effort into making our network the absolute best in the world and the most attractive place to play on the planet.”
The statement reveals that in just two years WPN has risen from 46th on the online poker leaderboard to its current prominence, according to the independent online poker monitor Pokerscout.
In March this year its steady progress up the ladder saw it enter the Top Ten globally ranked sites.
Harris attributes the success to a player-centric strategy with a serious focus on tournament series, pushing guarantees higher and successfully reaching and besting those guarantees thanks to a growing player community.
According to Harris, Winning Poker Network plans to double its marketing efforts and promotional offering in 2017, and will be launching its Sit & Go 2.0 game. The new concept debuted at this year’s Punta Cana Poker Classic.
