Caesars Interactive Entertainment has announced that from next week the WSOP.com and 888Poker.com online poker sites will share a common player pool, which should see better rewards for players.
A Caesars spokesman told the Associated Press news agency that the player sharing initiative is designed to increase player liquidity, a key area if New Jersey’s year-old Internet gambling market is to improve.
The spokesman said that the move will increase prize guarantees for tournaments, and lead to a greater number of players available for cash games.
The sites will begin sharing $130,000 in guaranteed tournaments each week starting Monday.
