US social gaming giant Zynga has released its extensively redeveloped free-play Zynga Poker mobile app, which is available through Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
Zynga VP of games, Jon Liu emphasised that the new product has been completely redesigned for mobile following research with users, and boasts a new look along with unique features requested by fans of the original classic, which has been on the market for the last seven years.
Features include changing the player’s perspective at the poker table and new animations to improve card views and casino floor impact. Players will find it easier to change stakes and buy-ins, with clear tactile controls, and enhanced social networking capability.
The app can “respond and learn” as players develop, adapting to different skill levels and organising table placements according to ability and personal preferences.
Liu said that Zynga took its time in launching later than originally anticipated to ensure that the product was thoroughly tested and refined.
Zynga boasts that its Poker offering, launched in 2007, is one of the most successful on the planet, having been played by around 350 million users, and regularly recording monthly active user stats of 20.7 million.
